THE ENGLISH PATIENT

BY: Michael Ondaatje, PRICE: £6.99, PUBLISHER: Picador (1992), ISBN: 0-330-34993-7.

This book is written in a very different manner. There are two stories inter-locked in this books one of a tragic illicit affair the other of a young nurse and her Indian lover. The detail and pace of this book make it a winner, however the initial interlacing story line may appeal to all. The book does end differently to the film!.
