MAIN AREA OF STUDY

THEORY X - The role and purpose of management is the organisation of resources to achieve a profit for business. Theory X does suggest that basic human nature has a tendency to be de-motivated towards work, with a strong resistance towards change. The role of  management suggested in Theory X is to manage its workforce to achieve profit, by strong leadership and control.

THEORY Y - This suggests that everyone is a creative individual, it is up to management to bring out and harness the creative talent of people.
