RICHARD CANTILLON (1680-1734)

Wrote ‘Essai Sur la Nature dui Commerce en general’. This was one of the first economic texts, originally written in 1730 but un-published until 1750.Cantillon divided the economy into three classes landlords, entrepreneurs and labourers The basic premise was that agriculture produced pure rent, through cultivation, nurturing and through ownership was divided amongst the three classes.
